Herdt, Hofmaier and Mehls discuss advertising and media in Eastern Europe

A panel discussion on specific aspects of advertising and media in Eastern Europe will round up the Global Marketer Summit 2006. The panel will consist of Alex Herdt, CEO of the Ogilvy & Mather Group, Central and Eastern Europe, Andreas Hofmaier, Group Managing Director Aegis Media Group Austria and Thomas Mehls, CEO Motor-Presse International. Every panel member has gained extensive experience in eastern Europe: Herdt joined Ogilvy to run the Prague office in 1997, which he built up to become the leading advertising agency in the country. Hofmaier has been responsible for the business of Aegis Media Group in the Adriatics (Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia), Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Switzerland since January 2005. Mehls oversees the expansion of Motor Presse International in eastern Europe. Motor Presse moved east as early as 1989 and is present in the most important markets.
