Global Marketer Summit launched successfully"CMOs of the Year" come from adidas, Marks & Spencer and London 2012 Olympic bidThe premiere edition of the "Global Marketer Summit" ended with the presentation of "CMO of the Year" awards to three outstanding European marketing decision-makers: David Magliano, Marketing Director for the successful London 2012 Olympic bid, Steve Sharp, Executive Director for Marketing at Marks & Spencer (GB), and Erich Stamminger, CEO for the adidas brand and board member of adidas AG, received the awards before the gala dinner that closed the Global Marketer Summit in Frankfurt am Main. During the day, 150 marketing and communication specialists attended presentations by and exchanged ideas with internationally acknowledged executives representing media companies such as Time Warner, advertising agencies like BBDO, and finance corporations like Allianz Group. The afternoon sessions focused on the growth market in eastern Europe. The presentations have been made available in the section PROGRAM The summit was organized by the American industry magazine "Advertising Age" and the German industry magazine HORIZONT. The "Financial Times", London, was media partner. The award "Chief Marketing Officer of the Year" was conferred by "Advertising Age" and HORIZONT in partnership with the consulting agency Booz Allen Hamilton.
